Clear-Care Nursing Service, a division of Clear-Care Corporation, (the for-profit branch of Clearfield Area Health Services, Inc.) has been serving the community since 1985.  Established as the first business entity of Clear-Care Corporation a multi-services company, the Nursing Service provides qualified staff to assist handicapped individuals and the elderly so that they can remain in their homes.

As one of the first services of its kind in the community, Clear-Care Nursing Service is instrumental in providing trained personnel to area Home Health and Hospice Agencies as well as the Clearfield Area Agency on Aging.  In addition, Clear-Care Nursing Service provides private duty home care staff to individuals directly.

A host of services are available through Clear-Care Nursing Service include Personal Care, Homemaker services, Transportation and Companion services along with Respite care for family members serving as primary caregivers.  Our staff is trained in all aspects of personal care and each employee is required to undergo annual refresher courses and proficiency testing on the tasks and duties of their position including CPR.  In addition, the personnel complete certification training in the care of patients diagnosed with Dementia including Alzheimer’s Disease.

Clear-Care Nursing Service is proud of the quality of our personnel and the training we provide.  We focus on the individual client and his or her specific needs.  Our Registered Nurse Geriatric Specialist personally visits each new private client to determine the type and level of care needed.  A Plan of Care is developed working with the client and family.  Then, using the Plan we assign the most appropriately trained worker or workers to match the client’s needs.

Clear-Care Nursing Service employs 70 nurses and aids in our Clearfield and Bedford locations.  We primarily cover the Clearfield, Centre, and Bedford county communities and are available for residents in parts of Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon and Fulton counties.  Clear-Care is an approved provider of services through the Area Agency on Aging, including the PDA Waiver Program, the Bridge Program and the Options Program.
